About Me


A qualified Therapist and Mediator, I support people who are going through stressful periods in their life. I believe positive mental health is increased by the development of good self-esteem, confident behaviour and meaningful relationships. Exploring self-limiting thoughts, feelings and behaviours, understanding how they may have originated and more importantly how they can be changed develops self-awareness and hope that is both motivational and very empowering.

As a Counsellor my approach is an eclectic, integrated model combining the most useful elements from a wide range of therapies. I am continually developing my own professional skills in order to be able to offer clients a quality Counselling and Psychotherapy Service. My practice includes a large percentage of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). I find CBT a very solution focussed approach, so the work can be brief yet extremely effective. My work is Client-Centred and specifically tailored to meet individual client requirements.

I have had extensive experience of working with Adults and Young People, helping them find solutions to their problems. For the last 20 years my work in both the Public and Private Sector has included; Outreach Youth and Community work, Counselling Individuals, Couples and Families, Mentoring, Coaching, Mediation and Fieldwork Supervision. I am now in the sixth year of running my own Consultancy.
